Yalaha, FL:  Lots of Lettuce

Remember you can always email or text me if you want to place an order and I forgot to open the Market or if I seem t have not adjusted quantities available since last week. Often flexible here though not always predictable.

If you Want to pick up the order at the Chillax Drum Circle in the Villages Sunday Afternoons, just let me know so I can bring it along. If you are with a homeschool group or other facebook group I attend events regularly, Let me know so I can plan accordingly. Otherwise when ordering, remember to let me know when you want to come pick up at the farm. If I don’t email you back to confirm, the order may not have gone through. To make an order you must be signed in, and you add products to your cart individually and then to check out you must go to your cart (Left side of screen near the top of the Market page) to do the check out and actually place the order.

The regular ordering window is now (as in whenever I open the Market) through Thursday 8am for Friday-Sunday pickup. However, if I send this Out Thursday, It has what is available after the Restaurants have ordered and you can place an order for pickup whenever we arrange it. (Or check with me tclynx@aquaponiclynx.com or text 407-342-8515 if you might want to pick up sooner or for special arrangements, I’m usually flexible.)

I may still be able to take orders after Thursday Morning but can’t guarantee availability of things as I may have already packed them for the Restaurants.
Ordering window is Monday Afternoon (or when I open it) through Thursday Morning and pick up will be Friday-Sunday by appointment until we expand more, Please indicate when you would like to pick up when you place your order.

I’m repeating myself now…..

Remember to tell me when you want to pick up! (and if I don’t reply to confirm within a day, bump my e-mail or text me 407-342-8515. Though I have cleaned up my e-mail so hopefully I won’t Miss Anyone.)

Sign in to order. https://yalaha.locallygrown.net/market

You have to sign in to see the add to cart button. Then set the number and click the add to cart button on the items you want to buy (it is the little picture right next to the quantity box.) Remember you need to check out before your order will be placed.
Remember to let me know when you want to pick up on Sat or maybe even Friday late afternoon or on Sunday. (If I don’t send you an e-mail confirmation of your order and pick up time, please make sure you checked out and completed your order.)

Champaign, OH:  Winter Part 2

And it sure been a cold, cold winter
And the wind ain’t been blowin’ from the south…
It’s sure been a cold, cold winter…
(Winter-Rolling Stones)

Maybe it isn’t even Part 2, maybe it’s just been going on with this crazy cold, ice and snow for one big run on string of months…

Anyway, if you are looking out your windows, and seeing this down pour of snow showers, and you are ready for some local kind of goodness, you can grab something warm to drink, make out your local market list, and spend time cozying up to our market site.

The market can make the coldest of days feel like the sun is so bright, it will put a smile on your face…

What better way to spend a snowy Sunday…

XOXO,
Cosmic Pam

Safe and Sound Soap Co.:
Have you started Spring cleaning yet? Now is the perfect time to try my Cleaning Spray! It’s made with organic sugar cane alcohol and the perfect amount of Castile soap. This is perfect for cleaning your kitchen, bathrooms, even wiping down your appliances, and mopping your floors, leaving everything sparkling clean and streak free! This spray does not contain vinegar unlike many natural cleaning sprays, So it doesn’t leave behind a pungent smell. Instead it freshens the area with a light lemon and eucalyptus scent, thanks to my therapeutic grade essential oils. Remember to check your laundry soap this week, and place and order for more if you are running low!

Calico Farms:
It seems like SO many people I know are still fighting flu & colds right now. What can you do? Support your immune system & have things on-hand for when illness strikes. I suggest our organic elderberry syrup as a daily “insurance policy” when you’re well, with instructions on ramping up dosages when you’re starting to feel off, located in the product listing itself. We offer a 16 oz bottle for $30 with a $3 bottle return. Also available are our immune support tea & sinus relief shower steamers for therapeutic treatment of congestion in your daily shower. Amazing & invigorating!

NashPhilly:
Bring on the cold! We would like to highlight some of our hearty dishes this week, that will warm you right up on these cold days…
Chicken Rosemary Potpies. We will have these available to purchase on this market this week again! We make our pot pie base from scratch, and use a little white wine for flavor, and roux to thicken. Finished with a deliciously crunchy and satisfying top layer of puff pastry. Beef Burgundy. It’s a French stewed beef dish with red wine. We have some root vegetables like carrots and parsnips for added flavors and textures. The red wine as it cooks really develops a beautiful flavor with the pieces of tender and soft beef.
We have a new risotto dish to our menu! It’s roasted red bell pepper risotto. Classic risotto recipe with the addition of roasted red bell pepper purée. This bowl of risotto is a great dish by itself with some bread. Or pair it with a side of delicious farm raised steak.

Quarter Spring Farm:
We have several items that you can use as well as giving them to a special someone the gift of silky smooth skin with a gift set from Quarter Spring Farm. We have several different gift sets available to help you pamper them. You and your family and friends will appreciate your thoughtfulness and their smooth, healthy skin.

MISC MARKET NOTES

Onward! Forward!

It’s good to be back! We had no idea when we closed for winter break, usually 2 or 3 weeks, that life would throw a curve ball and it would be necessary to extend that time. That’s all behind. Market at Dothan is now open again for orders and during the absence we’ve been brainstorming about ways to serve you better. One thing our vendors agreed on is that we will NOT lower our standards! We know it means we’ll always be the small oddball in the local fresh food market, but it also means we’ll have the CLEANEST food in the region.

One funnish thing we’re working on is freshening up our logo. No doubt the above three look familiar. Tell us what you think! We don’t want to lose our local food vibe, but we do want to brighten things up.

Lastly, THANK YOU for your understanding and support. We’re excited to finally get 2025 rolling again and hope to see you soon!

Goodness gracious, what happened to our weather? Well, those silly ground hogs, the one in Pennsylvania and our local one over at Dauset Trails, both predicted 6 more weeks of winter. And, here we are. A dreary, drippy, cold Saturday. It’s just unfair, after having experienced a couple of gorgeous, warm, sunny days earlier this week! In all seriousness, though, we should prepare now for potentially bad weather headed our way in the early hours tomorrow morning. Thunderstorms with strong gusty winds are predicted.

Thank you for supporting Georgia Grown. Stay safe, and we’ll see you at the Market.

Thanks,
Beverly

P.S. If you have questions about your order, please contact Nelda. She is available by text, email, or phone call.

Market is open Fridays at 9 p.m. through 9 p.m. Mondays!

Thank you for choosing Northeast Georgia Locally Grown as a way to support your local producers. This farmers market allows you to preorder directly from multiple farms committed to chemical-free and local produce all year long! CHEMICAL-FREE means produce and pastures grown without synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides. LOCAL means within 80 miles from the market pickup locations (usually much much closer). Do you know someone who grows chemical-free food in the area? Get them in touch with us. Know someone who wants fresh food? Spread the word. Put the two together, and that’s growing organically!

PICKUP TIME is Wednesday from 5-6:30 p.m. in Clayton, Clarkesville, or Gainesville.

If you do not get an email ORDER CONFIRMATION after you finish the checkout process, your order may NOT be complete. Head back to the market page, and your order might still be there waiting for you to check out! If you have any trouble or questions at all, we are here to help; simply reply to this email.

Once you place an order, be on the lookout for the order reminder email on Wednesday with further pickup and payment notes.

Thanks for supporting local farmers!
